Clinical Technologist (Medical Engineering)

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic engineer to join our Electromedical Engineering Team in Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS), providing technical equipment support to clinical teams.

You will have good practical skills and sound knowledge of equipment maintenance to board level repair.  A candidate with limited experience would be considered if they can demonstrate a good practical aptitude as medical equipment training will be provided within the role.

You will be qualified to City & Guilds/BTEC, or HNC/degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or relevant subject and have experience in maintaining and repairing electronic equipment, other time served engineering experience will also be considered.

Main duties of the job

Duties include completing planned maintenance, repair, calibration, and testing of a wide range of medical equipment. You will be expected to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Based at the Royal United Hospital the successful applicant will be expected to work in the RUH with some travel in the local area to carry out work at other Healthcare providers. You will be expected to drive the department vehicle therefore a current full UK manual driving licence is essential.
