Job overview
We are looking for a part-time Receptionist to cover the Radiology Reception with a vacancy for 23.25 hours per week (7 hours 45 mins per day) on the following essential days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7:45am to 4:00pm (unpaid 30 minute lunch break).
Duties include contact with patients, relatives and members of the public, therefore the team strive to provide an efficient and friendly appointments service to all. Duties also include making and taking telephone calls which may need escalating appropriately. Competent computer and typing skills are essential and a positive, flexible approach to workloads is necessary. This is a busy role which will involve multi-tasking with ever-changing priorities and working autonomously and without direct supervision.
Main duties of the job
- To receive patients, visitors and clinical staff at Radiology Reception, ensuring they are dealt with in a caring and professional manner.
- To answer all telephone enquiries in a helpful manner with an understanding of patient confidentiality, taking and relaying messages competently and taking action as appropriate.

- Experience of working in a customer/patient facing role
