Urology Cancer Pathway Coordinator

Job overview
The Bath Urology Unit seeks an enthusiastic, experienced individual to provide support to the team. As an experienced cancer pathway administrator, you will support the effective delivery of key cancer targets, working closely with the Performance & Operations Manager and Specialty Manager.
You will join a friendly, welcoming and established team who are keen to succeed.
Main duties of the job
This role is integral to improving the efficiency and flow for patients on the Urology Cancer pathway. The post holder will work closely with clinicians (Consultants and Cancer Nurse Specialists), managers and booking staff in order to identify and resolve delays in the pathway. They will be responsible for closely managing the patient tracking list (PTL), escalating operational issues and maximising available capacity by providing feedback to both clinical and non-clinical staff.
They will administer a shared email address to ensure results are acted upon in a timely manner and lead a regular PTL meeting, supporting achievement of the 28 day Faster Diagnosis and 62 Day Cancer Treatment Standards.

- • Foundation degree, Higher National Certificate or Diploma, Vocational Qualification Level 4 or 5 – or equivalent
Knowledge

- Knowledge of cancer waiting times targets
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of cancer pathways

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
