Staff Nurse - Sheppard

5

Are you looking for a motivating and rewarding career? Do you want a fresh challenge and want to make a difference to patients’ lives at Musgrove Park Hospital?

Sheppard Ward is a fast paced and varied ward, here we cover Gastroenterology where you will have opportunities to care for a range of patients. The patients we see have GI bleeds, elective & emergency endoscopy procedures, palliative care, alcohol dependency, eating disorders, oesophageal and liver disorders.

There is an opportunity for registered nurses to expand their nursing skills within a high acuity ward environment. There could be opportunities for rotating through the other surgical wards or the Endoscopy unit, for those who may be interested in developing their skills in a wider range of areas.

Here you will join our team of forward thinking nurses striving to provide high standard patient care.

Any experience of working with this complex group of patients would be very welcome although you would be fully supported throughout your induction phase to ensure you are adequately equipped to deal with this busy ward environment.

You will enable the ward to deliver excellence in nursing and ensure the patient experience is of the highest quality to aim to reduce the length of stay.

You could have the opportunity to rotate through our Endoscopy unit to further develop your gastro knowledge and skills.

As part of the interview process, you will be required to bring the following with you: Proof of any essential qualifications stated on the Job Description, proof of NHS payslip if coming from another NHS Organisation and all ID to prove your identity and Right to Work (More details will follow for successful applicants invited to interview).
