We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) to join Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) at an exciting time of transformation and investment in the digital space.  As a key member of the Trust’s Senior Corporate Leadership Team, the CDIO will lead the strategic development and delivery of digital, data, cyber and technology-enabled day to day delivery and transformative change across the organisation.

The timing is such that this is a rare opportunity to shape how digital innovation improves patient outcomes, staff experience and operational effectiveness across mental health, learning disability and community services. You will drive delivery of our Digital Enabling Plan, ensuring technology and data underpin safe, high-quality care while tackling health inequalities and supporting sustainable service models.   You will directly manage the Health Informatic Corporate Team.

We are looking for an experienced, values-driven leader with significant NHS digital leadership experience, strong system partnership skills and the ability to inspire cultural change toward a digital-first, organisation. Joining RDaSH means helping to deliver our ambitious five-year strategy and 28 Promises; we are a “community powered” organisation and will influence digital transformation locally, regionally and nationally.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The Chief Digital Information Officer provides senior leadership for the Trust’s digital enabling strategy, cyber security, informatics services, digital infrastructure and technology-enabled transformation across the Trust.

The post holder will lead the Health Informatics Directorate, ensuring resilient digital infrastructure, high-quality data and modern clinical and corporate systems that enable safe and effective care delivery. Responsibilities include delivery of the Trust’s Digital Enabling Plan, oversight of a multi-million-pound digital capital programmes, assurance of cyber resilience and digital risk management, and embedding data-driven decision making across services.

The CDIO will act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team and Board, providing assurance on digital performance, compliance and innovation. The role also operates at an Integrated Care System level, representing the Trust in regional and national digital forums and developing partnerships that improve interoperability, population health outcomes and service transformation.
