Admin Assistant/Receptionist - Apprenticeship Opportunity

Band 2

Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly candidate to join our reception team to provide a comprehensive administration and reception service to a busy Talking Therapies Team based in Rotherham. There may be a requirement to cover the service in Doncaster and North Lincolnshire.

Previous experience of working in the NHS or other large public sector organisation and using an electronic records system i.e. SystmOne would be desirable.

If you don't already have a Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 2 apprenticeship qualification [relevant to your role].

As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation.  Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.  This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.

Whether you already work for us or are joining the Trust and NHS for the first time, apprenticeships can help you to develop the skills, knowledge and know-how in order to embark on a successful and fulfilling career within the health service.

Main duties of the job

This post would suit a highly motivated, organised and friendly individual with good attention to detail and excellent communication skills.  The successful candidate will undertake many roles alongside working on the service main reception.

This includes greeting service users and visitors, dealing with general enquires both face to face and over the telephone,  booking clinic rooms, managing email accounts, general administrative duties such as checking  deliveries, sorting the post, data input, processing referrals into the service, maintaining clinic diaries, management of medical records and related documents,  building duties and working with clinicians and the management team to ensure quality service delivery.

There is a requirement to attend training at other sites in Doncaster and there may be a requirement to cover other areas in the surrounding locality.
