Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)/or Qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) Band 5

With Me In Mind (Mental Health Support Teams in Schools) offer early intervention in mental health support to children and young people, and their families in Rotherham.

We are looking to recruit a couple of qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) or qualified Children’s Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) to the team to contribute to increasing mental health provision and improving emotional wellbeing for Children, Young People, and their Families within some school settings across the locality.

You will have an active caseload of children and young people with mild to moderate emotional and mental health difficulties and will deliver evidence-based interventions in a range of educational settings. You will also be involved in delivering psychoeducation and training for a range of stakeholders, including children and young people, parents/carers, and education staff, and promoting a whole school approach to mental health.

Applicants already have completed their training and will be qualified in the HEE Postgraduate Diploma in Education Mental Health Practice or Children’s Psychological Wellbeing Practice. Main duties of the job

Delivering low-intensity cognitive behavioural therapy informed interventions with school age children. 

Delivering Whole School Approach. 

Offering high quality early intervention support to children and young people and their families who are experiencing mental health/ emotional wellbeing difficulties.

Providing support to staff in education settings as part of the Whole Setting Approach offered by the team.

Working with multiple services on multiple sites; liaising with staff; helping to develop partnership working.

Engaging children, young people, and their families to develop the service.

  • Where appropriate, statutory professional body registration
