Job overview

We are excited to announce that we have two posts available (22.5 hours) for Occupational Therapy Assistants to support the Occupational Therapy team  within community mental health services. 

We would expect you to have had relevant care experience and demonstrate an understanding of the Occupational Therapy role.

The successful applicant will support the qualified Occupational Therapy staff working with patients to deliver an efficient and professionally competent OT service to patients of in North Lincolnshire.

 

 

 

Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity to join our service for people living in North Lincolnshire. We are looking for enthusiastic and innovative professionals to work within the MDT to support individuals and improve their quality of life.

RDaSH is committed to the ongoing development of our colleagues and offers half a day each month CPD for everyone in the organisation through our 'half day learning' scheme. This role would be expected to deliver some half day learning sessions to support other colleagues in their understanding of this specialism.

  • To carry out individual therapeutic intervention programmes and feedback relevant information according to agreed assessment framework and treatment aims identified by the Senior Occupational Therapist.
  • To assist the Senior Occupational Therapist to carry out  based individual assessments.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • English and Maths at level 2 or equivalent (GCSE 9-4 or A*- C or functional skills level 2)
  • NVQ Level 2 in a related subject
  • NVQ level 3 in related subject or willingness to undertake a relevant Level 3 Apprenticeship

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrate a keen interest caring for others
  • Previous experience of caring for patients in a clinical setting
  • Previous experience of working as part of a team
