We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our team as an  Coordinator, supporting the smooth running of multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and patient care pathways. 

Working with clinical and management teams, you'll ensure patients receive efficient, and appropriate care in line with the national 18-week Referral to Treatment (RTT) target.

  • Knowledge of hospital systems (e.g., PAS) and waiting list policies

  • IT proficiency (formal training to diploma level or equivalent)

  • Strong data analysis skills to support performance and service improvements

  • Understanding of outpatient and inpatient waiting time targets

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Service Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Co-ordinate and prepare for MDTs and meetings, ensuring all colleagues and attendees are available and invited.
  • Work collaboratively to redesign care pathways for smoother patient journeys

  • Validate and analyse data to support care delivery

  • Communicate with a range of clinical specialties and care group teams to ensure service efficiency

Qualifications and Training

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, with a GCSE in Maths and English language (grade C or above)
  • Level 3 typing/word processing or equivalent qualification and experience.
  • NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration or equivalent or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience
Desirable criteria
  • Willingness to undertake relevant study to enhance skills/knowledge

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of a range of administrative processes
  • Experience of organising and implementing administrative procedures to support a multi-disciplinary customer focussed service.
  • Audio typing experience
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience of using a wide range of IT and information systems including Microsoft Office
  • Experience of scheduling/co-ordination of activities and or resources
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of staff supervision/performing appraisals
  • Experience of using hospital information systems
  • Experience of working with parents/families.
