Job overview
To provide high quality patient services and care to the Chronic Pain Management Service as part of MSK Care group and to patients throughout the Trust.
To provide clinical nursing advice and education within Chronic Pain services.
To act as a source of advice and knowledge to patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
To work within the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of optimal care throughout all aspects of the patients care pathway and in all clinical settings.
Main duties of the job
To deliver high quality patient care, acting as a role model for nursing practice across the speciality and Trust.
To provide clinical nursing advice and education within Chronic Pain services.
To act as a source of advice and knowledge for patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
To work within the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of optimal care throughout all aspects of the patients care pathway and in all clinical settings.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse (valid with NMC and Pin in place)
- MSc in Chronic pain or significant experience and willingness to work toward the MSc Programme
- Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification
- To have completed the national practice assessor training or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998.
Desirable criteria
- Audit / Research experience

- Significant experience of Chronic pain management and evidence of working autonomously as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Chronic Pain
- Evidence of management experience

- Successful completion of Core, Relevant Specialist and Management Competencies appropriate to the role
- Commitment to continuous personal development
