Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part of the Clinical Support Team in the Neurology department.
The position requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
Main duties of the job
- Filing, data input, photocopying, letter writing etc.
- Working collaboratively within a team and individually
- Communicating with patients and service users over the phone or face-to-face
- Dealing with patient case notes whilst maintaining high levels of confidentiality
- Ensuring patient case notes and the electronic patient record systems remain up-to-date
- Manage your own workload and ask for support when required

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE at Grade C/4 in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications) or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- NVQ Level II in Business Admin/Customer Service/IT
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working within an office environment
- Experience communicating directly with service users/customers, carers & relatives, both face-to-face and over the phone
- Demonstrable track record achieving deadlines and targets
- Experience using patient administration systems or similar databases
- An awareness of the challenges currently facing the NHS
Desirable criteria
- Relevant experience within the NHS
Further Training
Essential criteria
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of further job-relevant education and training
