Exciting opportunities have arisen to join our Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology Care Group. We are seeking enthusiastic, professional Administrative & Clerical Officers to provide essential administrative support within our busy, friendly services.
We are looking for individuals with excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills who are methodical, flexible, and uphold our Trust’s PROUD values. A good understanding of patient confidentiality is essential, along with effective computer skills, and experience with hospital systems would be desirable. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are vital. Above all, you will be a team player who can thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting.

Main duties of the job
In this role, you may be based in reception, providing a warm and professional welcome in our busy inpatient or outpatient areas, or in an administrative position delivering high-quality clerical support to the care group. Whichever area you work in, you will play a vital part in ensuring patient information is accurate, complete, and up to date by recording, amending, and inputting data into the Trust’s administration systems.
Various shift patterns are available, including both in-hours and out-of-hours work, offering flexibility to suit different lifestyles.
Your contribution will be key to maintaining the smooth flow of information that supports excellent patient care.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE at Grade C/4 in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications) or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- NVQ Level II in Business Administration / Customer Service / IT
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working within an office environment
- Experience of working in a public facing role.
Desirable criteria
- Relevant experience within the NHS
Further Training
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of / experience of using information and/or customer service systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Excel and Word.
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience Infoflex / 59R Software
- Previous experience of PAS / Infoflex / SystmOne (area specific software)
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of data protection issues and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to deal with staff at all levels.
- Displays use of initiative with effective organisational skill
- Ability to prioritise and work to strict/conflicting deadlines
