Duties include assisting in the day-to-day management of inpatients, clerking acute and elective oncology admissions, management of oncological emergencies, attending ward rounds and prompt completion of e-discharge summaries. There would be the opportunity to attend outpatient chemotherapy and radiotherapy clinics for educational purposes.

There would be the opportunity to develop management skills by attending various meetings, including the Junior Doctors' Forum, Drugs and Therapies Committee and Radiotherapy Guidance.
The hours will be Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:30. There is no on-call associated with this work. Your rota will involve clinical ward-based working in Acute Oncology 4 days a week with 1 day a week protected for personal development. You would be supported in developing project work (audit/quality improvement projects/teaching) during your personal development day by a consultant oncologist acting as your educational supervisor.
