The Directorate of Ophthalmology is seeking to recruit a receptionist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to come and join our team in the Ophthalmology outpatient department based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
The successful candidate will need to be an excellent team player and able to work using their own initiative. We are looking to appoint a motivated individual who must have excellent communication and organisational skills.
Main duties of the job
Are you passionate about making a difference to the hospital and patient experience by providing a comprehensive clerical / reception service to the Trust? Do you have a strong sense of responsibility for your own actions, love to be organised and disciplined and have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy? Do you take pride in all that you do and love to provide high levels of customer service?

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE at Grade C in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications)
Desirable criteria
- NVQ Level II in Business Administration / Customer Service / IT
Further Training
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of / experience of using information and/or customer service systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Excel and Word
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience Infoflex / 59R Software
- Previous experience of PAS / Infoflex / SystmOne (area specific software)
Experience

- Experience of working within an office environment
