This is a fantastic part time opportunity working in the Endocrinology department supporting our MDT team with administration duties.

Our administration staff are the engine that keep our hospitals and services running smoothly and provide excellent business support to our staff and patients. If you’re passionate about making a difference, have solid IT and organisational skills and an eye for detail, our admin role could be the job for you.

Main duties of the job

 

As an administrator you will complete a range of duties including  helping keep records and data up-to-date , answering and transferring phone calls, creating patient letters and documents .

Some skills that will allow you to excel in this role include IT and communication skills, being highly organised , having attention to detail, and being confident working both independently and alongside others colleagues in a busy environment.

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of / experience of using information and/or customer service systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Excel and Word.
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience Infoflex / 59R Software
  • Previous experience of PAS / Infoflex / SystmOne (area specific software)

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working within an office environment
  • Experience of working in a public facing role
Desirable criteria
  • Relevant experience within the NHS

Education and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE at Grade C in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications) or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level II in Business Administration / Customer Service / IT

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Understanding of data protection issues and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to deal with staff at all levels.
