Fire Safety Advisor – Primarily the delivery of technical fire safety advice on capital developments and refurbishments to support delivery of capital programme and avoidance of significantly more expensive external technical advisor costs to the organisation.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The Fire Safety Adviser will provide a comprehensive, inclusive and professional fire safety management service for the Trust.  Provide expert advice on all fire related matters, all within a national NHS fire prevention framework.

Education and qualifications

Essential criteria
  • • Degree in fire related subject.
Desirable criteria
  • • Knowledge of fire safety policies. procedures, and practices.
  • • Specialist training in fire safety and management.
  • • Higher Degree in relevant subject
  • • Affiliation to a professional body

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Extensive experience in fire safety management.
  • Currently employed in a management position.
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience within a Health Service context.
