We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and caring individual to join our team within One Recovery Bucks, a drug and alcohol treatment and support service for people impacted by their own or someone else’s use of alcohol or drugs.

One Recovery Bucks is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join our dynamic team. As a leading community drug and alcohol service provider, we are committed to delivering exceptional care and support to individuals dealing with substance use issues.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you would provide high quality clinical interventions including prescribing for people with an opioid use disorder, alcohol detoxification and relapse prevention medication, health and wellbeing interventions and blood borne virus screening and vaccinations.

As a One Recovery Bucks NMP, you'll be an essential part of our holistic care approach, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the Clinical Lead for Buckinghamshire, you'll contribute expertise in prescribing and high-quality care. 

We prioritise staff growth, offering ongoing supervision and tailored professional development, This supportive environment encourages continuous learning in substance use treatment, prescribing practices, holistic care approaches and tackling health inequalities. This will support your professional advancement while delivering meaningful support to the people who use our services.

Inclusion, created in 2002 is part of the Specialist Services Care Group of Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT).

Inclusion provides services across England that include advice, information, harm reduction interventions, recovery planning in conjunction with a range of pharmacological, psychosocial and structured treatment programs.

We support individuals, families and communities who are affected by substance use, alcohol use, crime, mental health concerns or need treatment for their sexual health.   • Collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, recovery workers, managers, and allied health colleagues to ensure a multidisciplinary approach and facilitate safe and positive outcomes for people who use our services.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of people who use our services to determine appropriate treatment plans, including prescribing for opioid use disorder and alcohol detoxification and relapse prevention.
  • Prescribe and review medications prescribed by the service following best practice guidelines.
  • Offer health and wellbeing interventions, providing guidance and support tailored to individual needs.
  • Facilitate BBV screening and vaccinations, contributing to the overall health improvement of service users and communities.
  • Contribute to the review of serious incident investigations, providing expertise and insights to enhance learning and improve practice.

Qualifications

  • Independent Non-Medical Prescriber
  • Nursing or Pharmacist qualification and a registered practitioner with the NMC or GPC, or relevant allied Health professional qualification registered with that professional body

Experience

  • Evidence of working effectively at a senior level in a multi-disciplinary health and social care setting
