Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to come and join the dynamic and driven Neonatal Team at UHNM.

You will be providing excellent, evidence based care to preterm and term babies requiring Intensive Care , High Dependency Care, Special Care and Transitional Care within our Level 3 Unit, whilst upholding the principles of Family Integrated Care.

Main duties of the job

You will be supported to uphold the Four Pillars of Advanced Practice with allocation of clinical duties and non-clinical time.

You will work as part of the Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Team and the wider UHNM Neonatal Team to deliver excellence and a service driven by improvement and innovation.

You will be part of the established Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner team and work together within identified areas of interest to make quality improvements to the neonatal service at UHNM.

You will represent the Neonatal Unit at local, regional and national meetings and forums to share best practice and to ensure the NICU@UHNM is delivering the most up-to-date and quality care for every baby and family who needs the care and support we are proud to deliver.

  • Is a registered Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
Desirable criteria
  • Can demonstrate Level 3 clinical experience and skill

  • Is able to demonstrate competence within all 4 pillars of practice

  • Can demonstrate application of four pillars to advanced practice within level 3 setting

Reasearch & Audit

Essential criteria
  • Has particpated in quality improvement project.
Desirable criteria
  • Can demonstrate how service improvement was developed, audited and monitored
