Main duties of the job

We are looking to appoint a  Medical Secretary to join the Nephrology Secretarial team.   You will have experience of  administration duties and dealing with members of the public.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  •  Outstanding empathy and compassion
  • Able to use their own initiative
  • Organisational Skills
  • Experience of Microsoft Office packages
  • Clinical typing experience 
  • Understanding of clinics and appointments

Person specification

The post holder will be qualified to NVQ level 2, OCR 2 or equivalent

Essential criteria
  • NVQ level 2, OCR 2 or equivalent
  • Reasonable standard of GSCE A-C (4-9) or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Secretarial/clerical background.
  • Audio type writing skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office package including: Microsoft word and outlook

  • NHS Experience
