The Trust aims to foster a culture of continuous learning. We appreciate and value the contribution of our Clinical Support Worker workforce, and we support the opportunity for apprenticeships and other training to help you progress through the pay scale. Many of our Clinical Support Workers  have trained to Nursing Associate level  and some are now training to ‘top up’ to Registered Nurses.

This role requires the following qualifications and documents to be provided as part of the recruitment and selection process for this role, if you are offered a role and unable to provide these documents, we are afraid the offer will be withdrawn:

  • GCSE’s or equivalent Certificate for Maths and English, equivalent to current Level 4/ C or level 2 functional skills Maths/English.
  • If you have completed your qualifications overseas you must provide a ECCTIS compatibility statement prior to interview.
  • A full completed Care Certificate which includes practical sign off from an assessor or awarding employer. 

Although it may seem frustrating if you have completed a degree in the UK or other professional qualifications our policy states we must have GCSE’s or equivalent as part of the requirements for this role.

Main duties of the job

The role of the Senior Clinical Support Worker  in the Trust is different depending upon the ward or department the role is based, however you would be delivering care and support to our patients, learning new skills in assessment and documentation, as well as working as part of the wider team to deliver an excellent patient experience.
