Staffordshire Childrens Hospital@Royal Stoke University Hospital (SCH@RSUH) are launching a brand‑new Tongue‑Tie (Infant Frenulotomy) Service, and we are looking for skilled and motivated practitioners to help shape and deliver this vital service.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join SCH@RSUH as a Tongue‑Tie Practitioner. As a tongue tie practitioner, you will provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and perform frenulotomy for infants with ankyloglossia and feeding difficulties.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered Midwife/ Nurse/Allied Health professional with current NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Advanced Tongue Tie Management course at level 7 or willingness to undertake.
  • Experience in assessing and managing feeding difficulties in babies and infants.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Ability to work autonomously and be accountable for own actions
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of the wider team

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Consistently professional, collaborative and compassionate in their approach.
  • Experience of delivering a quality improvement project
