Job overview

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join Newcastle Adult Community Mental Health Team (Lyme Brook Centre), on a permanent part-time basis (15 hours a week).

The Team operates from its main base on the Bradwell Hospital Site (free parking) which serves an identified catchment area within Newcastle-under-Lyme and the surrounding areas.

If you have good clinical skills and are motivated to further develop your knowledge and practice and want to work as part of a large MDT, this role is perfect for you.

Within the role there is opportunity to work autonomously as well as contributing to the team and being supported by the MDT.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will hold a caseload and undertake the role of key worker for adults with moderate to severe mental health difficulties, working as an autonomous and accountable practitioner within a multidisciplinary team.

Offer support to junior staff.

Carry out the role of duty professional when required.

Support the delivery of group interventions.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You will be working alongside a well-established, experienced and extremely supportive team of people, including Psychiatrists, Community Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers, Pharmacists, Social Workers, Psychologists, Students, Administration and Primary Care Colleagues.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking Team in a role that will positively influence the experience of Secondary Mental health Services, for our Service Users.
