Do you have the passion and drive to work collaboratively with system networks to deliver a high standard of care to CYP receiving palliative and end of life care? If so we would love to hear from you.
You will work closely with The Dougie Mac Children’s Service, The Community Teams and UHNM to provide a holistic approach for children and their families to achieve a high standard of care to their patients.
You will be employed by UHNM and will work with Clinicians and the Directorate Management team in the delivery of a high quality Palliative and End of Life service. You will work closely with all System Network partners to achieve a high standard of care to their patients.
The post will require some flexibility and the ability to work some weekends, to meet the needs of CYP and their families (especially at the point of end of life).

Main duties of the job

Working to meet the needs of CYP and their families (especially at the point of end of life).

Education & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree/ Diploma in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy
- Registered with HCPC
- Evidence of personal & professinal development
Desirable criteria
- Working towards a higher qualification qualification relevant to speciality e.g. Master's degree
Experience
Essential criteria
- Post graduate experience (NHS) with considerable experience in speciality area
- Experience of working as a senior physiotherapist within the speciality area
- Experience of teaching students, staff & other proessional groups
- Experience of undertaking out of hours working
Desirable criteria
- Experience gained within an acute setting
- Involvement in audit/research
Skills, ability & knowledge
Essential criteria
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Trained clinical Educator

- Evidence of project work

- Ability to travel to and work across multiple sites
