Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and highly-motivated nurse. You must have a clinical interest in Cardiac Rehabilitation and prior experience with cardiovascular patient groups, in either a Rehabilitation or Ward setting. Experience of exercise prescription and the provision of individual or group patient education sessions on lifestyle, health and well-being related topics would also be advantageous.
Main duties of the job
You will work across our community-based service in primary care Centres and Leisure centres across Staffordshire. The post will also require the flexibility for home working and cross-site working between County Hospital and Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse on the professional register
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office: Word, Excel, access and Power-point
Desirable criteria
- Recognised qualification in Cardiac Care
Experience
Essential criteria
- Is able to recount / discuss the requirements for high standard of care
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, and management of related pathologies
- Able to utilise initiative to solve problems and develop the service
- Ability to work as part of the wider team
- Excellent written and communication skills
Desirable criteria
- Experience of fundamental ECG interpretation and related patient management
- Understanding of counselling aspects of cardiac rehabilitation including risk factor management, health promotion and goal setting
