Job overview

The Contract Performance Manager (Data & Technical Services) will be responsible for the management of the performance associated with the following contracts and services to the Trusts:

  • PACS and MES – provided by Siemens through a PFI contract with Health Care Support (North Staffordshire) Ltd (HSNS – the PFI contract holder)

The PACS, MES and Data & Technical Services are included in the Project Agreement (PA or contract) between the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) and Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Healthcare Support (North Staffordshire) Ltd (HSNS).  As a result, this post currently spans across the Royal University Hospital and Haywood Hospital Sites.  

The Contract Performance Manager will support the Head of CPM in ensuring that HSNS, through its sub-contractors Siemens and provide MES and PACS services to the requirements of both Trusts as embodied in the PA. 

In particular, the Contract Performance Manager will be expected to monitor and manage the performance of the PFI service contracts including PACS, MES, Data Services to meet the needs of the Trust in ensuring that all contractual requirements are met and will act as the interface between PFI suppliers, IM&T and Clinical Divisions managing the dependencies our PFI suppliers will continue to have on our data network and communications services. 

Main duties of the job

Keys task areas

Responsible for controlling the lifecycle programming of works in line with the PFI contract requirements.

Monitoring the performance of Siemens and Data & Technical services in delivering the services in accordance with a range of service specifications and contractual commitments. 

Review and audit information as required, to validate performance reports including analysing complex data and facts, and interpreting/comparing a range of options and outcomes.

 Develop and maintain good working relationships with the Trust users of the services, service providers, management teams and Project Co. Ensure effective and constructive communications that positively contribute to a collaborative care provision.

 

Act as the point of contact and manage operational problems/issues between the service provider and the key departments.

Reflect and promote the advancements in technology in particular AI supporting our hard, soft, MES & PACS services in driving improved performance and improving productivity and cost efficiency.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience in network or operations technologies management, data management or service desk technical support
  • Broad knowledge of IT systems
  • Experience of contract performance management or significant contract

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Experience in a range of project management or general management fields
  • Knowledge of Microsoft windows and office at user level
  • Experience of training and education service users providing day to day supervision, quidance and advice
  • NHS PFI contract management experience
Desirable criteria
  • Project Management qualification PRINCE 2
  • Knowledge or experience of working in PFI contract
