Job overview
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
Soft FM are holding a recruitment event on Saturday 9th May for roles within their department both at Royal Stoke University Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and County Hospital in Stafford.
The roles on offer on the day include:
- Domestic Assistants – Royal Stoke Hospital
- Domestic Assistants – County Hospital
- Ward Assistants - Royal Stoke Hospital
- Catering Assistants - County Hospital
There will only be part time and bank hours on offer for this event. Please see the following statement in the 'Main Duties' section before applying.
Main duties of the job
Before applying for this vacancy please read the following information:
- We expect a high number of applicants for this role, please submit your application ASAP as it is likely this vacancy will close early.
- There will be a limited number of walk-in slots available on the day of the event to guarantee an interview slot, please submit your application on Trac. Walk in candidates on the day will be asked to complete a Trac application prior to being interviewed. We reserve the right to turn away walk in candidates if we have no available slots
- If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply for this role however it is important to note that UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa, you must also have at least six months until your graduate visa expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons
- For this position interviews will be held on Saturday 9th of May at our Royal Stoke site, there will be no alternative dates or arrangements, we are unable to accommodate the request for virtual/online interviews.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be asked to provide ID in order to be interviewed as full ID checks and forms will be completed. For evidence of your ID you will need to provide both Right to Work and ID documentation.

Two proofs of address such as:
- Bank statement / Utility bill (Dated within the last 3 months)
- Tenancy agreement / Mortgage Statement/ Council Tax statement (Dated within the last 12 months)
- Driving Licence (In current address and valid)
