Job overview

Main duties of the job

The Waiting List Manager will be assisting the Imaging Senior Management team in ensuring there is efficient and effective waiting list/operational management within the CDC and all the services that it supports to enable it to deliver high quality patient care within the resources available.  

The post holder will be required to work flexibly in order to deliver the Directorate/ CDC agenda and offer support to other colleagues across the operational and clinical management team as and when required.  

The post holder will ensure monitoring and validation waiting lists/reporting backlogs whilst also monitoring and driving utilisation for the CDC service as a whole, with the focus on pathway achievement and reporting TAT. This will involve liaising with administration staff and clinical staff including the multidisciplinary team specialties throughout the trust. They will provide appropriate line management as required.  

You will work as a team with both the Operational Service Managers and Senior Operational Service Manager across the Imaging Directorate and the CDC management team to assist in the delivery of departmental KPI’s.  You will produce accurate validation to ensure up to date preparation of performance data to be presented at weekly Performance Meetings.

  • Reasonable standard of GSCE A-C (3-9) or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Diploma/Degree in Management or health related subject
  • NVQ Level 3 in admin / customer service related area
