Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant to join the Imaging Directorate at University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Assistant to further develop skills within workforce transformation to support a wide range of imaging training initiatives. This will contribute to improving and changing the future care of patients.

The post holder will require to have excellent communication skills at all levels, confidence and expert experience of working in diverse settings, must be able to use their own initiative, build strong working relationships and work as part of a team. We are a friendly team working in a busy and demanding NHS environment; the post holder is expected to have a positive attitude to encourage and support the enhancement of an effective culture within UHNM. 

Main duties of the job

The Project Support Assistant will be responsible for producing and monitoring high-quality project documentation, providing efficient and organised administrative support to managers on projects and business functions. The post holder will act as a main point of contact for Midlands Imaging Training Academy (MITA) administrative and governance queries.

We are looking for an individual who is committed to providing quality administration support, highly motivated to learn and develop further and wants to be part of dedicated team.

Essential criteria
  • 5 GCSE’s Grade C or NVQ level 3 or equivalent, broad experience over the various skills of the role.
  • Formal clerical or administrative qualification or relevant experience
Desirable criteria
  • Project Management qualification

Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office package
  • Experience of office procedures including purchase-ordering, scanning, room bookings, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience of developing and monitoring project documentation
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working within a NHS or health sector organisation, ideally within project team
