Job overview

UHNM are looking for a Specialty Doctor in ENT. The successful candidate will work closely with the ENT Consultants who provide a first class service.  The ENT team undertake both surgical and clinical work following the surge of clinical activity and support the reduction of the backlog following the Covid-19 pandemic.  Work will be based at both the Royal Stoke and County Hospitals. 

Main duties of the job

To provide an exceptional level of care for our patients presenting with problems requiring ENT in an outpatient and theatre environment. The appointee will join the existing ENT medical team to:
•    Support a comprehensive outpatient service within ENT
•    Treat patients with conditions requiring ENT Surgery
•    Continue clinical responsibility for patients in your charge 
•    Work with colleagues in other professions and support inter-disciplinary work
•    Triage of patients and safely discharge patients, when appropriate

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • MRCS or equivalent qualification FRCS (ORL- HNS) Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application
Desirable criteria
  • ATLS/ALCS/Paed ACLS Presentations/Publications

Experience

Essential criteria
  • CCT or equivalent training Attendance of relevant ENT training courses
  • Evidence of participation in research
  • Attendance of relevant ENT training courses
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate teaching experience
