Emergency Department Progress Chaser - Band 3 

An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Directorate of Emergency Medicine. Working closely with the Nurse in Charge you will play a crucial role within the Directorate supporting patient flow within the Emergency Department.

we are looking for a full time on 3 x 12 hour shifts per week.

Main duties of the job

With the guidance of the Nurse in Charge you will be responsible for chasing investigations and liaising with multidisciplinary teams to support timely discharges and transfers. You will produce a daily log of actions to support the 4 hour breach analysis which is to be presented to your line manager following each shift.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to further their development. You will be committed to your own personal development. You must have the ability to manage a busy workload, working to tight deadlines whilst working accurately and efficiently in a very busy environment. It is also important that you have proven effective communication skills.

Essential criteria
  • • GCSE or equivilant

Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Has knowledge of current KPIs for Emergency Departments
  • Proficient in the use of IT systems; Microsoft Office, Excel, word and Outlook
  • Ability to work on own initiative
