Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Take a Recovery focused and holistic approach in working with the people who access our services.
- Deliver care and interventions utilising the stepped care model, including provision of the CPA Framework where appropriate.
- Assess people's needs to develop, implement and evaluate personalised care plans.
- Facilitate therapeutic group work taking the lead where appropriate.
- Deliver evidenced based interventions.
- Identify people requiring hospital treatment and facilitate the timely transfer under The Mental Health Act.
- Line management of Band 5 nurse where appropriate.
- Some weekend working is required as part of this role.
Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register.
- Evidence of recent CPD and compliance with NMC revalidation.
- Teaching Certificate including annual update (ENB 603) or related mentoring / coaching qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Considerable experience of working in the mental health field.
- Experience of providing specialist interventions for those with mental health problems, counselling techniques, CBT, motivational interviewing.
- Providing supervision and line management of staff.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
