Main duties of the job
· To be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced based interventions required including health promotion within a prison environment.
· To be responsible for the appropriate risk assessment of service users, providing effective advice, guidance and decision making process, seeking support and guidance where necessary.
· Responsible for coordinating the care and assessment under the care coordination approach.
· To ensure a high standard of nursing in the application of clinical nursing procedures and treatment including the custody storage and administration of drugs.
Professional
· To keep up to date records and information for the purpose of internal and external evaluation and for patient benefit.
· Responsible as per NMC guidelines to participate in the trust supervision and appraisal process, identifying mandatory professional, personal development and training needs. To demonstrate compliance with Inclusion mandatory training.
· To practice within the NMC code of professional conduct and ensure that registration is maintained and to comply with NMC Revalidation.
· Responsible for ensuring record keeping is maintained adhering to NMC guidelines and trust guidelines.
· Responsible for raising risks/incidents and adhering to reporting via internal and external systems where required (Safeguard MPFT/Datix PPG)
