  • Provide high quality, experience-sensitive, neurodivergence-informed Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) assessment for autistic young people seen in the BeeU ISMHT;  supporting better understanding of an autistic child or young person’s unique ‘languaging’ style and communication identity across a variety of environments.

  • Provide psychoeducation to autistic CYP, families, carers and the wider support networks to facilitate insight into their unique communication style and needs.
  • Ensure that interventions are provided in line with NICE Guidance, RCSLT guidelines including other relevant local and national documentation and current evidence-based practice.
  • Responsible for prioritising workload, allocation of work to oneself and other staff, and to cover all levels of priority of work within the service.
  • Make clinical judgements backed up by clinical reasoning and recommendations based on research and being respectful and inclusive of the lived experiences of autistic people in consultation with multi-disciplinary staff and in accordance with the service specification.
