An exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist who has experience of, or is interested in community based working, has arisen across the Bury Town, Haverhill, Mildenhall and Newmarket Integrated Neighbourhood Teams. The teams are based in a variety of settings across West Suffolk covering a number of historic market towns surrounded by picturesque villages and countryside. Common to all is the need to work with a range of other health professionals and agencies including Adult Social Care, working together in an integrated way to provide the best outcomes for people within our localities.

The successful applicants will join a dynamic, friendly team of therapists, community nurses and social care staff.

You will be providing Physiotherapy to patients in the community and have the chance to work in an autonomous manner carrying your own caseload of patients with the support of the wider multi disciplinary team within the hospital and across the West Suffolk Alliance. The role includes provision of therapy for patients with long term conditions but you will also be providing a responsive, same day service to patients to facilitate hospital discharges and carry out joint health and social care assessments of need in the community.

You will be using a wide range of Physiotherapy skills and will need high level assessment skills. Experience of neurological conditions, musculoskeletal conditions, frailty, falls, dementia and orthopaedics will be an advantage. You will have opportunities to develop your role in accordance with areas of clinical interest, training and education are available to support this. Your additional duties will include the supervision and mentorship of junior staff and students and you will be involved in ongoing learning and development within the team. 

The roles on offer cover both full time and part time posts.

Frequent Travel Essential - You will need to travel, so you must either hold a full, current driving licence and have access to personal transport or meet the mobility requirements of the role through other reasonable and suitable means.

We operate a 7 day service within core hours 8am to 6pm.
