Job overview
An opportunity has arisen in the Scanning Bureau at the West Suffolk hospital.
This is for 30 hours per week, 7.5 hrs four days a week, the ideal candidate will need to have excellent IT skills, have the ability to prioritise workload, make informed decisions and be able to work well in a small team.
Main duties of the job
The overall objectives are to transfer Patient records from Paper to an Electronic version within set time scales, ensuring accuracy of all data processed. The post holder will use multiple data sources and systems to upload electronic patient records for inpatient, outpatient, day cases alongside scanning for external agencies.

Education and qualifications
Essential criteria
- • Maths and English to GCSE A-C or equivalent
- • Medical terminology to understand what abbreviated terms mean in relation to the patient record
Desirable criteria
- • ECDL or equivalent
Experience and knowledge
Essential criteria
- • Experience of working within a Scanning Bureau in an administration role
Desirable criteria
- • NHS experience
