Working for our organisation

About Us

We are a busy, friendly, rural NHS Trust providing high-quality care to more than a quarter of a million people across west Suffolk. We care for, treat and support people in hospital, at home and in various community settings.

The West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds is a partner teaching hospital of the University of Cambridge and provides acute and secondary care services.

We provide community services in West Suffolk, and specialist community services across the county, including nursing, therapy, and specialist services.

Ongoing temporary care and rehabilitation services are provided through community inpatient beds, including at Newmarket Community Hospital (NCH). A new Community Diagnostic Centre based at NCH opened in December 2024.

We do our utmost to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes for patients and our values of fairness, inclusivity, respect, safety and teamwork guide how we work and behave as a team.

AI tools can be useful for improving structure, formatting, and ideas, but they cannot fully capture your personal experiences.  You will be asked to demonstrate and discuss your experience during the interview process. It is therefore essential that all information provided in your application is honest and accurate.
