If you are an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Generic Worker within the Mildenhall Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT).
The team is made up of nursing teams, a therapy team and a community matrons service. Working in an integrated team to provide excellent care to people within the locality. Working closely with colleagues across health and social care the teams provide clinical care to people within their own homes.
The INTs are a dynamic and exciting place to work with ongoing development and growth which offers the opportunity to develop new skills, learning and developing in a friendly and supported way within the teams.

Main duties of the job
Following training and development as required you will be providing clinical care and support to people in their own homes in the community.
You will be visiting people in their own homes and delivering care in line with treatment plans in put in place by District Nurses within your team.
Some of your duties would include phlebotomy, wound care, administering insulin to stable diabetic patients and monitoring basic physical observations for good health. Training and development can be provided around these clinical skills but previous experience within health or social care would be an advantage.
As well as the essential person specifications as on the job description, you will need to have good communication skills, initiative, and be friendly and flexible.

To contribute to the delivery of quality, effective and safe health care to patients within their own homes, residential care homes, and in clinics, by supporting the team in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care under the delegation/supervision of registered practitioner

Education and qualifications
Essential criteria
- QCF care certificate or equivalent knowledge and experience or working towards an Apprenticeship
- Experience of working with the general public
Desirable criteria
- NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
- Experience of working within a care setting
