This is an excellent job opportunity for an SPR to gain more experience and skills working within General Medicine. This role is to work within the Epsom site for Epsom and St. Helier NHS trust.

The StaffBank for Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust are seeking enthusiastic  Locum general Medicine SPR to join our pool of Staff Bank workers, there are many full time roles available but as they are ever-changing - the exact roles available will be provided once your Hiring & Recruitment is complete. We can give you an idea of the type of roles available at the time of contact, but we cannot guarantee set roles as your hiring time may vary. Depending on previous relevant experience & previous NHS experience, higher banding/rates can be discussed. 

This line of work will be based at Epsom Hospital on the stroke ward from beginning of May for 3 months initially.

To join the bank you must have a minimum of 6 months NHS experience as an SPR within Medicine.

  • GMC registered
  • Must be available to start beginning of May
  • should hold MRCP and Paces and have at least 4 years post graduate experience

Qualifications and Training

·       MBBS or equivalent

·       GMC registration

 

·       BSc or equivalent

·       Prizes or honours in MBBS or equivalent

·       MRCP PACES or equivalent degree

Certificate

 

Clinical Experience, Management & Administrative Experience

·       Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience after graduation with minimum two years of Core Medical training or equivalent

·       Experience of general internal medicine

·       Maintaining good medical practice

·       Professional behaviour and probity

·       Delivery of good acute clinical care

·       Reliable work record

·       Experience of Medicine and other medical specialties at ST3 level equivalent and above

·       Evidence of teaching experience

·       Evidence of exposure to different groups/teaching methods

·       Teaching qualification(s)

Research Experience

·       Demonstrates understanding of the importance of audit, research and clinical risk management.

·       Evidence of active participation in audit
