Job overview

We are looking for a proactive and dynamic individual with the requisite skills, knowledge, experience and expertise to join our existing team.

Due to service expansion, a new role has been developed to support the Pharmacy Homecare team and assist in the efficient running of this key service. 

Main duties of the job

  • Support the Pharmacy Homecare team by contributing to the development and management of Homecare services, including the introduction/ launch of the CMM homecare module.
  • Manage the Homecare Diabetes Service, including patient funding, ordering, invoicing, clinic/patient queries and tracking orders.
  • Assist in the management of Homecare services, maintaining accurate patient records and effectively and efficiently reconciling invoices for payment, and resolving invoicing queries.
  • Lead Homecare audits and support with freedom of information (FOI) requests.

  • NVQ level 2 Pharmacy Services
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ level 3 Pharmacy Services

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in hospital pharmacy
  • Experience of using CMM pharmacy system (formerly JAC)
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of pharmacy homecare
  • Experience of managing homecare or high cost drugs pathways
  • Experience of personnel management

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of hospital pharmacy
  • Knowledge of pharmacy homecare services and processes
  • Understanding stock rotation and stock control
  • Understanding medical terminology
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of Blueteq and funding processes
  • Familiarity of specialist drug names
  • Familiarity of invoicing/procurement processes

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accurate and methodical
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate (proficient in MS Office platforms e.g. Word, Excel)
