Job overview

We are looking for someone to join our established ANC admin team, this role  includes often being the first point of contact for our visitors to Abbey wing Maternity Services, so a happy yet professional approach is essential.

The role will include helping service users to check-in and out of their appointments, booking follow up appointments and supporting the Booking Co Ordinator team to ensure a supportive administration service is provided to all our Users and the wider Clinical Maternity Team.

 

Main duties of the job

To Act as first point of contact for all patients and visitors attending Maternity Services in  Abbey wing reception, The post holder will come into direct contact with patients, carers, relatives, and healthcare professionals.

The applicant must be consistently welcoming, polite, courteous, efficient and sensitive manner when dealing with service users who maybe anxious or worried, displaying a positive approach at all times

    Provide a comprehensive  administrative support service  to the  Maternity and Ultrasound service users, ensuring a smooth Pathway and patient experience to support the midwives, Obstetricians and Sonographers.    To provide the administration support to the Antenatal clinics.

 Ensuring all appointments are made within the Maternity Pathway and appropriate clinic.

Be expected to organise their workload to ensure that an efficient service is provided. To provide administration support to the Antenatal team leaders, Booking Co -Ordinator’s, Service Manager

Carry out their duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the of the work. Always maintain confidentiality and work within the Trusts GDPR policy

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

 

Update patient episodes on Badgernet and Surrey Safe Care. including rebooking and booking appointments from referrals, actioning the Envoy messages. To book Obstetric and Midwifery appointments within the patient’s pathway and in the correct timeline. To ensure all email queries are responded to efficiently. Exercise independent judgement and initiative when problems arise taking the necessary action to resolve the problems or referring to the appropriate person.
