Job overview

We are seeking an exceptional and experienced motivated practitioner to take upon this exciting opportunity of becoming a Scrub Deputy Team Leader.

Applications are welcome from Experienced Registered Nurses/ODP’s who would like to learn new skills and knowledge in management and leadership.

As a Deputy Team Leader you will be expected to demonstrate being an excellent role model, and have the skills and knowledge to be an effective leader. You will be able to provide specialist surgical scrub and circulating clinical support and be encouraged to work towards acting up in the absence of seniors.

Main duties of the job

You will work closely with the Team Leaders and Theatre Coordinator in the establishment of a good working environment and in making the most effective/efficient use of staff, supplies and services.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate that they have a high level organisational skills including time management, the ability to confidently prioritise and organise clinical and managerial responsibilities. You will also be expected to participate in the effective clinical leadership and management of the team, including supporting and developing junior and new members of the team; and be committed to delivering a high quality service to ensure patient care, safety and experience is the best it can be.

You will be required to demonstrate leadership and supervision of others carrying out all aspects of the caring process.
