We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered nurse with experience within an Orthopaedic or Outpatients setting to join our established team.

The Rowley Bristow Unit is a exciting fast pact Orthopaedic unit that provides outpatients care to Orthopaedic trauma and elective patients. The Rowley Bristow is a unique place to work and develop, we see a wide spectrum of patients that include the elderly and children. We are proud to be able to support  patients whatever their individual needs are. 

In this post you will support the Unit manager and the team in providing a  safe and effective service. You will support the team in their individual development, while you will also have the opportunity to develop you own skills and career progression. 

 

Main duties of the job

Work as a Team Leader and Deputise for the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse within the framework of team nursing based on the  unit with the nursing philosophy of Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust.

To take lead responsibility for co-ordinating and facilitating the training, educational and development needs of staff.

To take lead responsibility for an area of clinical practice appropriate to the clinic  environment.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • Promote and help to manage delivery of a quality nursing service, setting and monitoring clinical standards.
  • Be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.

Person specification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Orthopaedic experience or outpatient experience
  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 18 months of Band 5 experience
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in supervisory role
