Job overview

The Senior Clinical Research Practitioner will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways for people who use our services and carers participating in mental health research. Responsibilities will include recruitment of participants, coordination of participant in clinical trials, collection of research data and psychometric rating.

You will work collaboratively with the research team and wider multidisciplinary team in the management of your own caseload of research participants. The post holder will actively promote research amongst clinicians, service users and the wider NHS.

The post holder will be predominantly based at Two Bridges Hub, Chertsey, but will be expected to attend events and meetings across the Trust’s catchment area.

This is a 9-month maternity post cover.

Suitable for someone who is highly motivated and passionate about providing high quality mental health research to people that use our services. Ability to work autonomously as well as part of the wider team is essential.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree level education in Psychology or other health related field including nursing, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • UK valid driver’s license

Experience

Essential criteria
  • >2 year’s post qualification research experience
  • Experience in conducting neuro-psychometric evaluation in mental health and/or dementia preferable
  • Experience in coordinating commercial clinical research trials
Desirable criteria
  • Worked within an NHS Mental Health setting
  • Perform clinical tasks – vital signs & ECGs
  • Phlebotomy
