Trosolwg o'r swydd

Comet Chemotherapy Unit, located at Crawley Hospital, provides specialised and compassionate care for Haematology and Oncology outpatients. With a dedicated and highly skilled team, Comet offers an environment where every patient receives the highest standard of treatment and care. The unit is divided into two main sections: an outpatient clinic and a day unit. The day unit is equipped with 16 patient chairs and two private single-room units, ensuring both comfort and confidentiality. Here, patients receive a variety of treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, chemo-supportive drugs, blood transfusions, venesections, and routine blood tests.

The outpatient clinic operates with a carefully coordinated schedule. Patients visit Monday through Wednesday to see Haematology consultants and the Haematology CNS for follow-ups, while the Chemotherapy Nurse-Led Clinic runs every Thursday and Friday in the day unit. The unit operates Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding weekends and bank holidays. Additionally, the unit is equipped with a blood fridge to store essential blood products on-site.

The Comet Unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, offering a wide range of advanced treatments for Haematology and Oncology patients. The multidisciplinary team, which includes Haematology and Oncology consultants based at East Surrey Hospital, the CNS and highly skilled nursing staff, works in unison to provide exceptional care.
