The StaffBank for Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust are seeking enthusiastic Anaesthetic Nurse /Operating Department Practitioners to join our pool of Staff Bank workers, there are many full time roles available but as they are ever-changing - the exact roles available will be provided once your Hiring & Recruitment is complete. We can give you an idea of the type of roles available at the time of contact, but we cannot guarantee set roles as your hiring time may vary. Depending on previous relevant experience & previous NHS experience, higher banding/rates can be discussed.

Main duties of the job

Provide skilled assistance to clinicians and other members of the theatre team.
2. To deliver support and care to the required standards as directed within the
specific clinical area.
3. Provide a service to all areas of the Trust where specifically related equipment or
techniques are used and practiced.
4. Respond positively to unplanned activities outside of normal routines.
5. Plan work in advance to ensure deadlines are met.
6. Maintain 2 of the 3 specialties within the theatre environment and rotate between
them

 

1. To communicate in a professional manner at all times using the appropriate
mechanisms.
2. To complete routine documents clearly and accurately according to local policy.
3. To attend appropriate meetings and contribute by discussing,questioning and
checking for mutual understanding.
4. To seek out additional information about a situation in addition to what has been given.
5. To show sensitivity and understanding when dealing with clients and colleagues.
6. Assists team in gathering basic information and measuring service delivery.
7. Actively seeks to understand proposed service improvements and the changes
required
