Job overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our Digital Team. This role is to manage the digital change  programme for Cerner/iCLIP Pro. 

We are looking for individuals with good communication skills and a keen eye for detail.  The post holder will be required to work independently and within a team.  Knowledge of the systems already in use at the Trust such as Cerner (iCLIP Pro) is essential. 

As an organisation, we have just gone live with a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system. This is your chance to be part of the digital change, ensuring the safe and effective use of applications.

Main duties of the job

·                Develop expert knowledge of Clinical Processes in relation to digital change and improvement of processes.

·                Analyse existing work processes and identify areas of are lacking in current process mappings against the Programme process requirements.

·                Design and implement new and effective processes, ensuring real engagement with clinical, managerial and administrative staff at the Trust along with your team of Change Agents

·                Engage appropriate organisational change management techniques to prepare, manage and support change processes in a manner which seeks to minimise disruption to day-to-day business during this major Programme implementation that will affect large numbers of staff at the same point in time.

·                To support effective communications processes, ensuring real engagement with clinical, managerial and administrative staff.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Master’s Degree level education or equivalent experience
  • At least five years experience delivering large scale change management for clinical applications
Desirable criteria
  • ITIL Qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience with NHS information systems
  • In depth knowledge and experience of the Cerner system for the modules
  • Staff Management and leading effective teams
  • Experience in change management transforming clinical workflow into functionality within the system
Desirable criteria
  • Project Management qualification
  • Experience within other clinical systems applications

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Good understanding of the clinical workflow, systems and information within the system links to the use within clinical care
  • Strong Excel, other MS applications and SQL skills (to be able to write CCL)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically whilst leading a team to deliver results across several complex projects with numerous interdependencies.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of managing teams and matrix-based resource allocations.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • The ability to translate patient journey requirements into technical requirements and vice versa
  • In depth knowledge of Cerner and other application systems for all Acute workflows
