Are you an experienced Emergency Nurse looking for your next challenge? We are seeking enthusiastic, forward-thinking and highly motivated Band 6 Sisters / Charge Nurses to join the Emergency Department team at Frimley Park Hospital.

As a Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse, you will provide strong clinical leadership and support the day-to-day management of the department while delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You will lead by example in a fast-paced environment, using your advanced clinical skills to support patients, families and staff.

Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in coordinating patient flow, maintaining high standards of care and safety, and supporting the development and supervision of junior staff. We offer modernised facilities, a strong focus on patient care, and ongoing in-house training and development opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic department where you can make a real difference.

Main duties of the job

  • Run your area with minimal supervision, maintaining patient flow and ensuring a safe, effective environment.
  • Plan early for safe patient discharge and manage the overall safety of your area.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, acting as a role model and resource.
Serve as a link Nurse, assisting the Team Leader in managing team members.
  • Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, contributing to operational decision-making and team building.
  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patients’ care needs to ensure high-quality outcomes.
