An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Elective and Diagnostic Team based at Frimley Park Hospital. We are seeking a friendly, patient-focused individual who thrives in a team environment and is committed to upholding our Trust values in everyday practice.

This is a fast-paced and demanding role, requiring excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to meet tight deadlines, adapt quickly, and maintain a high standard of accuracy.

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic environment, liaising with patients, clinical staff, and colleagues. A proactive approach, willingness to learn, and the confidence to use your own initiative will be key to success in this role. 

Visa Sponsorship:
This position is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the contract.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for booking appointments across all Trust sites. They will have an active role in the implementation, as well as ongoing monitoring of both new and existing appointments systems. The post holder will assist with meeting Trust targets. The post holder will be required to offer very high customer service skills for patients and both internal and external staff.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE English and Maths pass or equivalent
  • ECDL or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 2 Administration or equivalent practical knowledge

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in a hospital or busy office environment.
  • Significant experience in difficult patient situations.
  • Some customer care experience
Desirable criteria
  • Call centre experience
  • NHS experience

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Good communication skills both verbal and in writing
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy when completing tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work using own initiative
  • Excellent customer service skills and evidence of dealing with telephones and meeting targets
