Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working Ward Clerk to join our team on a 17-bedded ward at Frimley Park Hospital on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a key role for someone with excellent communication skills and experience working with the public, who can provide professional reception and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the ward.

As the first point of contact for patients, visitors and staff, you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks. These include managing admissions, transfers and discharges on EPIC, liaising with clinical staff to resolve queries, and maintaining accurate patient records. You will also oversee the ordering of essential ward supplies using EPROC and support data collection for audits and research when required.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives in a busy healthcare environment and is passionate about supporting high-quality patient care through efficient administration.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide administration cover for the ward.
  • Key tasks would be to process patients’ admissions, transfers, discharges on EPIC and liaise with ward staff to resolve any problems.
  • Ensuring adequate stock levels of day-to-day supplies using EPROC.
  • Assisting with data collection for audits and research as required.
