Occupational Health Clinic Nurse - Frimley

Job overview

We are seeking a motivated and professional individual to join our Occupational Health team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a range of core services, including pre-employment health screening, immediate and follow-up care following sharps and splash injuries, and providing staff with expert advice on relevant immunisations. You will also contribute to wider health promotion initiatives and offer occupational health advice to support staff wellbeing in the workplace.

Working closely with the wider Occupational Health team and administrative colleagues, you will help ensure the smooth and effective delivery of high-quality services across the Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong clinical and interpersonal skills who is passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of NHS staff.

The department operates Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30, and the post holder will be required to work 5 days per week within these hours. While standard hours apply, some flexibility can be accommodated to support work-life balance.

Join us in making a difference to those who care for others.

Main duties of the job

  • As a key member of the Occupational Health team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality services that support the health and wellbeing of Trust staff. Your primary responsibility will be to undertake pre-employment health screening for new starters, ensuring they are fit for their roles in line with Trust and national occupational health standards.

You will carry out a range of clinical tasks including venepuncture, administering immunisations as per protocol, and providing timely care and follow-up support to staff following sharps and splash injuries. You will also play a vital role in advising staff on vaccine requirements and general occupational health matters.

Accurate and timely data entry is essential in this role, and you will be responsible for uploading clinical and administrative information to our digital health records systems.

Collaboration is central to the role, and you will work closely with colleagues across the Occupational Health service, including clinical and administrative staff, to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department.

This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care and confidentiality at all times.
